Rumour has it a camera has been put up looking at the gates on Tynemouth Pier, directly linked to PTA control at Shields. Don't know if they will react to illegal entry on to the pier (ie. when it's closed), worth remembering if you plan to fish it.
Dont worry, its not there for to catch anyone out and its not manned by anyone in PTA security, its just there as a trial.
Its not aimed at the gates either its movable and its not a permanent fixture.
