Session today at Pelaw Paints

Fished at Pelaw Paints today from 10am till about 1.30pm, i was the only rod out there although there was a decent gathering just across the river by the blue railings. Anyway, with no wind whatsoever the river was flat calm so I rigged up 2 rods, one with a pulley set up and a bigger bait fished towards the middle of the river and a smaller bass/flattie rod with a 2 hook flapper on it chucked 40-50yards.

For the first hour there was literally ZERO tide pull on the river and the rigs remained just where they were cast, not a single bite either  Anyway, after an hour the tide picked up and the knocks came to spare the blank...thank god! Nothing massive mind you 3 small whiteys caught on mackie/squid then 2 small flatties caught on rag tipped with mackie. after this I baited the flapper rod with straight lug and caught 4 small codling (6-9 inches), one per cast. At about 12.30 the spell came to abrupt halt with nothing for the next hour. The bigger rod and bait fished at distance didn't get even a slight nibble on it.

Sadly nothing of size for the table this time but the weather was good and it was a pleasure to be out for a few hours.

Being new to NESA I took a few snaps and will upload once I figure out how to.
