can anyony tell me if its worth getting some shads and what colour is best and how would i fish these? any help appreciated cheers

i have used them most of the year blue being the colour of choice. Followed the advice below

Agree with everything said in the link provided by Jason above.

However, when the tide slows I have hand some "self madetangles" rigged like this.

I've found using a Flying Collar Boom, (by Mustad) works wonders. It also means I can use 15 to 20ft of trace without any issues. Not sure I'd try this on a charter boat though. Me thinks you'd constantly tangle everyone one up and end up going three rounds with someone....!!!

if you can get to whitby i can certainly recommend paul as he works all day for you and you will know you have been fishing as he will no waste time on drifts if there are no fish there.
