My honest opinion is that there is no right or wrong answer because when the Cod are going for them they'll take nigh on anything you present them.
Everyone raves about Storm shads but I've caught on much cheaper variances.
The one thing I might say is that I tend to fish pale colours when dark and overcast and blue/mackerel colours when the sun is out

i agree too.
Everyone has thier favourite colour. I reccon the fish go for the movement of the shad not the colour..Saying that ive had cracking days on Tsunami orange flash, the next time out Orange wasnt doing well and i was catching on Redhead. Had a few on rhubarb n custard.What i suggest is take a various collection of shads, and look around the boat to see what the other lads are catching on if your not..
