Bert, Jim & myself had a few hours out this morning before the forecast wind started. Headed out about 6.45am and stayed at the same 3 mile mark till about 11.0am. Nothing great but loads of action with mackerel (bigguns) coleys, whitings and codlings. We kept a dozen codlings, a dozen mackerel and the bigger whitings & coley to feed the pensioners on the quay :D

Aye great mornings fishing till the sea and weather came away ! As Keith says BIG BIG mackerel and chikinz ..Roll on next week thanks lads

aye Jamie conditions are still ok with plenty feed about still ! I think it will still go on for a Few more weeks yet cod sill taking pirks and lures .long may it continue

Aye Jamie, as Bert was saying, the season got off to a slow start i.e. when are the mackerel going to show, when is the sea going to settle down etc. the best we can hope for is a few more weeks of predominant westerlies, before the winter sets in. btw, are your waders still leaking round ya nuts. lol.:)

That's great! I was all set for anchoring off marsden/off Whitley or just clear of the piers when I get home next week but maybe to the wrecks it is!!!Champion!

Graham.
