Much the same as last week, except Bert, Skull and myself were joined by Uncle Benny ( Jim - Topfly).

We fished more or less the same wrecks as last week with similar results, this time Bert was top man landing five cod and 2 pollack, mostly caught on pirks. I got my one and only cod early on so Skull & Jim got a bit of stick, but they redeemed themselves at the last 2 drops of the day, Jim taking the biggest of the day.

Total catch 8 cod, 2 pollack and a few pouting.

Nice1 and that sea looks so flat, the only plus side of the fog is a flat sea. Great to see them cod on lures already and sounds like you picked the better type of fishing, lads i was speaking with said nets all over close in both north and south of the Tyne....see you out there when this bloody arm is better mate.

Nice report Keith, careful thats nearly a smile :D , It was great to be out and having the craic.pity we were outshone by the skipper:)

Bert-the-pirk as they say. ! Great day great banter and flat seas what more could a skipper want ? Oh and a fry ... roll on next week !

nice one lads nice to see your mugs back on here again. Must admit Bert never seen a guy catch on the pirk like you do.

Yeah, they are Size 3 (large) so a little tight :D

Bagged them on fleabay for £20, if the seller had titled the auction "Guy Cotten" instead of "Guy Cotton" they may of had more interest :)
