Bert, Kyle, Paul myself headed out with high hopes on Saturday morning, out the piers for 4.30am.
The first wreck we tried produced two nice fish for Bert & Paul but not much else so we headed off to a few 10 mile wrecks. The drift was a bit swift but each wreck produced a few fish, nothing prolific but steady.
Bert as usual, was top man showing us how to operate a pirk, he also kept up his reputation by snapping his Maxximus at the butt end
.
I opted to avoid quantity and go for quality
, this one slammed my shad and put a canny bend in my new rod:
We ended up with 17 cod, 3 ling, 1 pollack and a few mackerel.
Great morning as ever, Cheers lads!
