Just Bert and myself yesterday, Jim was on call so couldn't make it.

We set off about 8am, it was a bit windy for wrecks so we had a couple of hours at anchor among the snags 3 mile from the piers.

We only had cart sticks and wings for bait but from the off the cod were hungry for them, we ended up with 9 cod (5-4 to Bert) with at least half a dozen lost on the way in.

Back on the moorings for 10.30am and Jim kindly popped down with our breakfast and helped us to put the dingy away etc - Cheers mate :)

Thanks Bert, it's great to get out for a fix at this time of year.

Boat club presentation next Friday so the Saturday fishing will probably give way to bad heeds :D

Nice to see the awesome cart doing well Keith, The window to
get out was only a couple of hours, so well done yous.

Well done you boyz in getting out and amongst the fish especially as the rest of the day weather wise was absolutely crap. Put the rest of us to shame suppose you might be picking the odd trophy next Friday neet:D

Aye canny few hours afloat Keith really enjoyed it roll on the next window in the weather for the return visit , 35-40 foot of water them cod give one hell of a scrap if we had some decent bait who knows how many we would have caught ?;)

Looks like a great day out , I often thought about winter fishing but too soft now 😊 your combo looked good Keith

Aye Dave the setups are great Fladden Maxximus teamed up with a Snowbee deep blue 10 great bits of kit :D

As the water was a dark chocolate colour I think the cart played a big part in catching the fish ..............any rig would prob have worked lol

Next trip out a spare rod baited up without Awsome Cart as a little test to see if theres anything in it!
