Bert, Jim & myself this morning, we had a couple of jobs to do so didn't set off till about 6.30am.
As others have said it was blowing a gale so we stayed inshore hitting several wrecks and some hard ground. Didn't have the best selection of bait but we picked a few up, then Bert the pirk set the standard picking up some better fish so it wasn't long before I followed suit, not sure what Jim was doing
. Even when he gave up with his special bait all he caught with the pirks was the wreck, but finally he saved his blank.
We headed in about 11.0am with 23 codlings, best about 6lb.
Skipper was top man and was definitely on the ball
