Not long been back in from Sharpley where I spent the afternoon with Terry Woods teaching me to chuck fluff. It is a long time since I have had such an enjoyable day but now I am shattered lol.

Have cleaned my fish and am now having a couple of winding down drinks. Will post a report in the morning, Cheer's again Terry it was excellent mate.

Jim.

Nice to see you had a good start at Sharpley Jim, another string to your bow as they say.
Waiting to read your report as I may try Sharpley on Saturday.

Got to Sharpley at 13:30 and had a coffee with Terry. We headed down to the begginners lake, and after some practice on the grass I learned how to whip water and how to stick a fly in the back of my head lol.

My first fish was a decent one but unfortunately it was foul hooked so back it went. I managed another couple after we went back up to the lodge for another coffee. After that Terry took me onto one of the bigger lakes and there were fish rising all over the place. Unfortunately the Sedge were out in force and no one was catching at all.

Terry pulled in a couple more and then just before dark I hooked into another fish and brought it safely to the net. Nice Trout for tea tonight.

As I said last night it was a fantastic afternoon and evening, (it was just after 23:00 when we left) and I can't thank Terry enough for making it as interesting as it was, cheer's mate.

Sorry I didn't get this done this morning but I forgot I had to take SWMBO to the hospital.

Yes Simon, it is completely different from sea fishing mate. Just looking forward to having a go at salt water fly fishing now. I might just wear a crash helmet before I try that though lmao.
