opens around 6.30am mate, we got their last week at 7am to find at least half a dozen already fishing

the lodge does actually get locked up, about 1 month ago Simon came and locked it as we were leaving, around 8.30-8.45pm

the gates don't get locked at all, i've been at 5 before, in the summer tho!

correct Tom,. but the lodge does get locked and you are NOT supposed to be fishing at 5am, ya supposed to be asleep

Jimmy i think you will find the lodge never gets locked nor do the gates.
I am not doubting what you may have seen simon do but all the time sharpley has been open its been simons policy not to lock lodge because if it were locked then someone may break in and it would cost more for repairs than they could take from the lodge as there is nothing of any great value.

As for the fishing then the correct starting time is 7pm, however no one has been chased off for starting earlier.

fished this morning on hangmans lake?? the dry fly only lake, plenty of fish about but did not seem too interested in my flies. i think i need slightly smaller flies.
in the 4 hours i was there i only saw 4 or 5 fish landed
be back again soon though
