Shields 25.06.08

Had just over 2hrs at Shields today before work over high tide, the water was really coloured.................

Tried with baiting with rag,crab,and mackerel from the end = no fish

Tried for pollack in all the best spots for them= no fish

Tried for mackerel from sea and harbour side= no fish

Tried for coalies down the side = no fish

Tried for sandeels down the side= 7 lol

So bottom line water coloured and laods of fresh water pilling out the Tyne has put the fish off the feed, 14 people fishing with a total of nothing on bait, no mackerel and about 30 sandeels.

Will try again in 3 days time if the weather settles abit.

i was down roker pier on monday after work, same again canny swell running coloured water, absolutely no fish anywhere, canny few down aswell. will also try again when weather settles.

Went to Shields pier last night,fished from about 6.30 till 10p.m..Caught a canny little flattie about 8 p.m then nowt till about 9.30 which was a small coley which went back....

I just blanked!! i never blank!!
well same over here, coloured water, 6hrs not a single bite, nice being on the beach though

Defo Bri, same every year really, bit rain and bit colour and the fishing switches off.
