well headed down for 8pm fished till 1.30am dont time fly when your fishing not enough hours in a day. well started off at the post first cast one sized cidling then had a couple of more cast but nowt but small bites so headed up to end off pier plenty of yitys then about 12.30am got a a knock started reeling in one heavy b-sterd thing on my hook got it to the wall only to see a big clump off seaweed and what l thought was a flounder but when l looked closer seen it was a turbot l was over the moon my first ever turbot well pleased with my self it was only about 1lb1/2 bait was fresh crab 1.30am come so headed off home all fish where put back safe but kept 2 ytys for my old man

I'm not sure its a Turbot? Looks more like a Brill as previously said.
I have looked on line and there so many variations in skin colour it could be either. The body shape looks a bit more like Brill but it could be the way the pic was taken? My answer...... I dunno.....lol
Good catch though whatever it is.
 
Well done mate good fish no matter what it is. Going to try for one myself tomorrow having a trip to druridge bay

Nice one Jim. I spoke to you as you were coming on the pier (I was opposite the rubble on the seaward side). Looks like we both had a good night.
