shields pier 26/1/12 pb for 2012 up to now

headed down for 6.30pm tryed just past the first gate no luck then tryed up by the rail end small coalies. then off agian to the 44 mark not a sniff so off to the end plenty off good bites kept missing them when l went to strike so next time l just left it to hang its self and bang in to a 2lb1/2 cod that made my night then a hour later this was 1am by then small bites picked up the rod got the slack line on my reel and the rod bent over started reeling in felt like a big piggy coming in on that tide and the swells so started to head for steps got round the corner a lad that was on the pier next to me call scott went down for it thanks m8 got it up the steps a nice 6lb cod befor l new it it was 3am so packed up and headed home bait was rag and yellow tails rig was a pully pennel so well pleased

Well done jimmy a spoke to you coming round the gate a thought there would e a few codling kicking about

Well done on your catches. There's been some excellent fish from the piers lately. I would love to be out this weekend but my hands are knacked.

well done m8 looked like a well conditioned cod and the same for the codling they will make fine eating. were you fishing the ebb on the end.
