well went down for 9am fished till 5pm had 3 dabs all day seen a couple of cod come from harbor side christened my new rod wr300 great casting rod but not in my hand so might look round for another rod ss or crest getting good distance but this rod can do better in the right hand not mine l would just be happy with crest or ss well wait see how my money go's or try a swap

Ive had a Carbon metal Crest nice rod has a long stiff tip and reminded me of a early greys jupiter i once had, ive got the kompressor SS its a different rod to those a bit like your wr300 same power but with it being 13ft 10" a bit longer it bends with the right lead.
The crest and jupiter feel like they have a faster stiff tip action which i found they would flick a 5oz great distances and a 6oz didnt make much difference so why cast more when you dont need to, but the kompressor on the other hand as its name suggests needs to be compressed and didnt get much of a feel with a 5oz so tried a 5 3/4oz namix which feel perfect bends the rod beautiful and cast good distances.
Think i will fish shields fri night weather permitting and give it a go not much doing but might scratch a few out in dark.
