Was down today early to try and catch my first ever Herring. One rod and lures. Straight off the end and down the side. Sabikis on size 4 hooks from Boyes. Fish from the go. One Mackeral Lost count how many Coalies (and some were really big) and five Herrings.
Tried casting out with daylights but no luck re mackerel.
Got to about 1.30 pm and few macky bashers came on so decided to call it a day.
Water seemed dirty so probs did not help with the Macky.

Mark and I would love to catch Herring, my favourite tasting fish.

I had to buy them from a trawler when we were in Tighnabruaich, as we couldn't catch any!
