Shields Weekend Wrasse

Told my mate to give shields pier a try heres his wrasse.

Caught on Saturday 22/1/2011, just infront of the blocks casting into the seaward side.

nice wrasse, do you know if it was caught on the inside of the pier from where the pic was taken? i remember seeing a few young uns catching them on handlines a few summers back, not of that size though!

Good size wrasse that from the pier, i have seen and caught alot over the years but all under 1lb.

Ive had some on in the inside of the pier before over the hard ground but none on the seaward side...

Never seen one in the winter though
