Was given abit bait by a mate that fished the comp but could not sue it the rest of the week so headed down to Shields for a couple of hours.

It was lashing down but that is what the water proofs are for, anyway nice roll on the sea so set up 2 rods, 1 casted out as far as i could with a large lug and squid bait and the other chucked about 50-60 yards out with 2 size 2/0 hooks on with ragworm and amckerel.

After a couple of casts that resulted in weed, i ended up with a small 7" coalie then a double header of bass also about 7-8" followed by a small dab about the size of a stamp then a bass around the 1lb mark.

No cod but nice to catch a few fish, been a while from the shore and blew up my slosh 1st chuck lol, still 6 fish in 2hrs in poor weather was canny for me , no pics as any chance of getting the camera out would have been a trip to buy a new one.

Good Bag for 2hrs enjoyment. Never fished the big beach before usually sticking to Littlehaven/Groyne/Pier will deffo have to give it a go this winter.
Any tips on which part is best fished.
