Me and the boys fished blyth pier and beach today, First try of my new shimano alivio and for £60 it was alright. tip nice and steady on the pier in a nasty crosswind giving good bite detection. It allso cast out on the beach nice. used it with f spool, but it has sliding spool seat for multi aswell.
We caught codling,coaly,whiting and flounder. Nothing big but a good day out with me two boys
And i must add a couple of guys coming off the very end of the pier looked to have good sized 5lb+ fish in their plastic bags.
