shimano ultegre c14 14000 xsa help

just had mine delivered,the instructions are rubbish,anyone tell me how the included washers change the line shape on spool,also theres 5 plastic bags with 3 plastic half circles in each bag.they look like they reduce spool size if I clamp 2 of them on the spool.seems odd having 3 in each bag though

They act as a backing mate but I don't use them on mine as I still think the braid could slip, the washers alter the line lay by heightening the spool just mess about with the washers till the line lays flat, mine has 2 in I think.

they have different numbers on,3500--5000--6000 ect,they must reduce the sool size down the the number

Adding washers will profile the line more at the bottom of the spool. Got a few on each of my ultegras.
