Silloth 24-5-14

Alright lads,

7 of us fished Silloth from 4.30pm to 1am yesterday,conditions were poor but still quite a few lads from our end there,a few fish across the board mostly dabs, but yours truly won the day with these 2,a plaice about a pound and a thornie of 5 1/2lb
another about the same was caught by a lad from Hartlepool[cheers for using your drop net mate]
Baits were bluey,crab,sandeel with sandeel doing the business

Hope the weather is better next time over there though and cheers for the tip on waiting for the big pull from the ray [big Stevie]

Not a problem mate that's what the net was for - nice meeting yous - we just got home fished all way threw - we had 2 rays 1 at 8lb 2oz and 1 at 4lb 8oz
7 doggys and loads of dabs

Not a problem mate - Bucky and the gang turned up early doors - only dabs and dogs that I saw from them - cracking morning up there as well should of fished well - will see if they report of any good rays

Great session Tony, I'm yet to get a ray from there. Great place to fish, no doubt I'll be back over there.

We fished the Prom a week back. Had a 10lb and a 10lb 2 (Pics on my blog) and lost a bigger one.
First time over there....great to catch some decent fish
