Went for first trip to silloth following recent reports of ray in hunt for my first ever thornback. Took our kid he started of lashing me 5 fish to my none ( a plaice, 2 flounder and 2 doggie) eventually got my first doggie follewd by couple flounder then another doggie then not long b4 the off I got my first ever thornie of 3lb 3oz folled by a flounder with our kid getting couple dabs in meantime. All pics without card or me in are our kids fish I'm 1 with daft hat and cheesey grin on. All in all good day

Ye really enjoyable day our don't fish much got him self his first doggie and plaice which never got pics of for him shame and my first ray of any kind so we both came back happy and the bairn got out enjoyed him self too little fun fair just behind ideal if ur lass and kids tag along

Cheers lads was great to finally get something I went for plenty of fish all along there some canny size flounder too think my biggest was 39cm

Well done on getting your target fish. Looks a canny place to fish, might have to have a dodge over there myself in a couple of weeks. How long does the drive take?

Plenty of fish caught that day loads of doggies and plenty of room for a match too. I had flounder upto 39cm
