well myself and ian[kitty yak] decided on a trip to tourness
ian stopping at thornton loch the prefered site as it has direct access to the sea and myself stopping up the road at dunbar
arrived on the friday with foggy conditions got the caravan set up and got a call from ian that he was on his way out ,so got kitted up and drove down
to be met by about 3000 mitres of visibility in the fog
so phoned ian and he said he was into fish about half a mile out ???
as i wouldnt be able to find him got him to paddle back in them we both set off back out to the same mark were ian had allready had 4 decent cod
well this will make richi and the lads days
when i got there we didnt get a bite :D:D
when weto the shorethe waves looked big so was cautiouson the way in , landed and the waves were about 3/4inches fog playing tricks
sat arrived went back down to see ian and we both launched into a rough sea with some big rollers further out
like a trip on the big dipper at blackpool but we both got out trouble free
fishing was patchy with fish every drop for a few minuites then nothing then the same again ,
had a few codling and a pb cod for me 5lb then a new species off the yak a ling
ian had a few fish aswell
on the night time headed down to the famous bingo at thornton loch with me and ian both winning the wifes were rubbish they didnt even know any answers in the quiz after
sunday
got up a little late to find out ian was allready on the water ,with a couple of the local lads [ trout and seatrooty]
arrived sea was like a mill pond perfect conditions paddled out to had a chat with seatrooty them trout and started fishing had a few cod to about three pounds and then ian tells me hes had a ling with a hole in its lip could it of been the ame one i caught
well seatrooty had a nice pollock about 6lb and everyone had plenty cod .great meeting you lads again

Cracking report mate. I'm going to start this kayak carry on soon when I sell me boat. Looking for the ocean prowler 13, what clothing and paddle would you recomend. I try and see the names on the clothing in pics but any pointers would be great.

george i have a typhoon breathable dry suit had it for two years and never had a problem as for paddles most people get a carlisle magic paddle good value for money just try and get a drysuit or wetsuit at the best price you can
been some good deals on anglers afloat recently mostly down south but if the deal is a good one might be worth the drive jeff
