Skinnigrove jetty today !

decided to head out today fishing in my old haunts, we arrived at skinningrove around 3-30 still a good sea running.

first cast got a coalie of about 3/4 pound followed by another 2 about same size.

decided to move to a new spot on pier and first cast resulted in a schoolie bass all fish were returned unharmed.

all fish taken on runny down and squid.

well done mate, whats the fishing like down that where for cod? never fished down their thats all?:yltype:

its been a bit hit and miss mate but still a few caught, was talking to a guy fished it last night and they had a few decent cod up 2 the 4ilb mark, in winter its as good as anywere on the northeast coast and some really nice marks from saltburn to whitby.

if u want some really nice coddies try runswick bay mate fish just in front of the boat house along the beach its a cracking spot
