I use something similar if not the same ones on a boat for my running ledger. They work a treat and although I've never used them on beaches I'm sure they'd be great there also. A good price

How often are you going to use them off the shore and if so how many will you lose? Bought a packet of 4 years ago and still have them. Only occassionally get used. Think before getting lulled in to spending £7 on a bargain that will swamp you for years.
