Not really a catch report, more of a weather report ................. It was Rough !
Out early (3.30 am) in a bid to beat the weather but as it turned out we didn`t lol
Neither, Steve or Frank along on this trip (and noticed the absence on Shady of the new novice angler T.Ramp - maybe he`ll be able to stand a rougher sea as his confidence and ability grows)
Nice start to the day as the sun rose over the horizon but with every degree it rose the wind came along to play as well .....
Scotchies everywhere with only a few cod to speak of, tried the 3 mile wrecks but with too much drift and difficult to hold bottom decided to come inshore and try the hard ground.
It soon became apparant that the wind was in for the day so at 7ish we decided to head back for the piers in striking distance of the harbour. By the time we got to the piers it was blowing a hoolie so, with the couple of cod and mackerel we had we had caught earlier, homeward bound we were ......... good luck anyone else out there.
Just a couple of pics to tidy up the post more of a scenery report than a catch report
The start of the day 3.30am prior to sunrise
The trip out ..............
Decent Whiting to Tony (there were many many whiting today)
Then as the sun rose the wind came too and with it the sea.......
Still, we did get some for supper tonight
