I dont know how many people on here have towable boats but I was wondering if anyone would be intrested in a outing to Luce bay during late August or early sept.
At this time of year the smaller male tope have left and it is predominantly the larger (50-70) females left. There is also good fishing for pollock, wrasse and gurnard to be had. A real chance to try some catch and release fishing at its best.
Luce bay is about 3 1/2 hrs tow from Newcastle. We could arrange a launch in advance, and the advantage of the peninsula having an east and west coast within 3/4 mile of one another means the chances of getting blow off are slim. It does work well to fish different areas and then share info to locate the tope. Travel sat am and return sunday night.
Anyone intrested in a get together?
Cheers
