Fished High Shore with Steve and Keith tonight

It was Steve's first outing on the shore this winter so we thought we'd fish an easy spot

Quiet as you like for ages...baits getting stripped by crabs, crabs aqua-planing on the retrieve making you think you've got a fish on - that kind of thing

Steve was first in - with a tiny Whitey..no picture (Steve was VERY quick to lob it back..plus he said he was targeting the first ever river caught scotchie )

Keith eventually had a rattle...

Little codling - duly lobbed back

then it was quiet again for ages...plenty of little knocks, loads of crabs etc etc

then it was my turn...

my first ever Whiting...also lobbed back

then?

Nowt...after another hour or so Steve went home, then Keith, then me shortly after that...

Quiet night for fish but good craic as always

Yes great craic as ever , well that's me started for the season ,so let's fish somewhere that feels like " real fishing " next lol .

..so let's fish somewhere that feels like " real fishing " next lol...

I have to admit I've kinda got into the whole up against the elements feeling of being on a windswept beach...wish the wind and sea would hurry up and come back

Can I politely suggest you should consider a new camera next

I am dying to reposts the pics of Jeffs pollock on this thread if only for the reason it mentioned small fish...but would I be so cruel?

Pleased yous had a good night and caught fish shame the rocklin didn't show for you lot but I can't be out every night of the week ..I stopped in preying hugh fernlywhitingstall would do a deep fried rocklin or summit .. would hate to take him fishing mind ... you'd of only get your first cast out and he'd be feasting on your bait!!! well done again lads hope theres bigger better fishing sessions to come

Probably...

HEHEHE...you aint wrong...Camera is on my phone (the Sony Ericcson K810i) which has taken the pictures for all my other posts and is usually spot on...I guess it was just having a bad night

....you can add the Princeton Tec Apex Headlamp to the list now...just arrived in todays post ...people at the comp next week will be able to recognise me very easily...I'll be the one with all the new gear
