Got to the first gate about 5 this morning.
Had a few small knocks when I first got there, but no fish.
Tried crab, rag, squid but each time hooks came back clean!
On a plus side I got to try out two new rods Zippie M4 and tt match
(and due to poor preparation) I had no choice but to fish reel down!! First time Ive tried and found it a bit strange at first, but soon seemed to be a bit easier to get a good distance. Think I'll have to practise a bit!!!
Also, some nice big salmon jumping out the water at 530 ish, they looked huge
Quite a few went past me to the end, looked a bit choca by the time I left, which was just before the heavens opened,
