Sod it

give the guy a break.dont think you should be slagging him or the shop of on here and am suprised the moderstors and admin have allowed it.
been to the shop today and john is very poorly.he went home early easterday and collapsed, been to hossy and given medication but wont stay in hossy.he is a home and i hope the medication sees him alright.
i have kept a copy of this thread so he can see it and reply in which ever way he wants.
as for you willy why do you insinuate that the guy is a mate of mine.yes i no who he is but thats it.if he doesnt want to post on here and just visit then you will have to put up with it or would you rather delete his account.
you asked the question and i have told you as much as i no.
and just to put the record straight in regards with tigra.there policy for warranty/gurantee starts from when it leaves the factory and not the shop and that was the words direct from tigra.the guy who has the problem with the lamp and frazers has now been told it is missuse by him.
3 batterys mmm i think not.

neither can I mate. All I can see are peoples opinions of a shop and therefore people have the right to comment on the service it gives. Never been in so unfortunately I can't comment. Yr mate been going scuba diving with his Tiga headlamp on Ryanlee :o

Got to say it...............I've never had any problems with Fraser's at Whitley at all. I remember on one instance last cod season, I had some lugworm ordered. When I arrived at the shop to pick up my order, their fridge had broken down over the weekend and the worms were 'on-their-last-legs'
However instead of trying to sell me the worms (as some other fishing tackle shops would do !) I was given a sincere appology and was offered the worms free of charge), which I accepted. They weren't "dead", but starting to go jelly-like as lugworm do. Used them all up on Blyth pier that night. Remember catching a couple of codling on them, including on of about 4 lbs.

That's really good service, after catching that with the worms they gave you I'd be tempted to go in and give them the money for them anyway!

It was not a slag it was an opinion based not just on that one instance but on many others

I did also say in my first post that i may have being doing the guy a miservice,if he is ill then i can understand why he would have shut the shop.
If he was by himself.
However,he didn't have time to write a short notice to bung on the shutters.
" Sorry closed early today open as usual tomorrow" .
If he drove himself home and is back today then i feel that is not beyond a expection.
i have kept a copy of this thread so he can see it and reply in which ever way he wants.
I see no need for him to reply unless he wishes to on THIS point.
The other points as regards poor and surly service which i assume are not down to ill health he may wish to.
I have no wish to get into a slagging match with anyone but my opinions are based on my experiences over 3/4 years of using that shop.
Those experiences and opinions are valid and i stand by them.

only ever been in that shop a handfull of times in my life and the last one was a few weeks back,i found the service fine and the guys were fine:) like you say lowrider its annoying and he must have had a good reason to shut up early. what i hear on the grapevine is a few shops are struggling for business and a one mentioned a lot on this forum is really struggling. try billys in shields some time as they are a good bunch of lads and always have good bait:D

he was not at work today.his son was there.
as for an open debate i agree but when you actually slagg someone or there shop off its a pure insult.the guy went home and collapsed.oh wait i better leave a note for the customers that slag me off.i think if the guy was ill then his 1st thought is get to the docs as quick as possible.
have a think and carefully how many times has this shop been shut either early or not at all.
this guy has been in this trade for a lot of years and i take my hat off to him for putting up with some of the comments made against him.remember the old saying you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink it.if you have a problem why dont you speak to the guy instead of calling him on the site.tel 01670365980.9am-5pm.better still call into the shop and speak to him direct.

Nobody is slagging or calling anyone, Lowrider has merely commented on his experiences / opinions and he has stated twice "I may have being doing the guy a miservice,if he is ill then i can understand why he would have shut the shop."

Lowrider is allowed his opinion but ryanlee just cant see past his opinion. No one made Lowrider post this its what he thinks. i dont go into Blyths shop unless there there isnt anywhere esle i can get what i need.(My opinion). I'm sure there are some that love the shop (Thats fine) then there is others. If you ring them and they say they will be open or bait and go 40 mins later and there closed, then people will be unhappy.

as i,ve said before , i belive this is a open and democratic forum where everyone has the right to say what they want ,or how they feel about any given subject concerning sea angling. tackle shops come into that catergary, the guy only gave his opinion so whats wrong with that[he did,t slag anyone off as far as i could see].

As i did say i did not wish to get into a slagging match.
I based my comments on what i saw,at the time.
It is easy to be clever in hind sight and suggest i "give him a break".
My post yesterday was based on what i knew yesterday.
I also said that it was simply the last thing in a long line of "problems" i have had with the owner of that shop.
I have found that the staff are great, which makes the surly attitude of the owner even harder to bear.
Maybe it is just one of them things and he don't like me for some reason,as to calling him and debating the point.
Why?
I have made my decision and have decieded that i will no longer provide trade to his shop.
I have that right as he does to conduct his business in the manner he wishes to.
Nuff said.
I will take my trade elsewhere even if it means a longer journey for me.

Ryanlee, I must apologise. I did not realise that it was going to court, if I had I would certainly not have mentioned it as it could affect the case if anyone was to read this thread. Much better to say nothing than mention anything that is happening.

Jim.
