Left Amble marina at 9am, sea was fairly flat, but there were some massive swells coming in, 8-10ft at times. We fished the rough ground about 2-3 mile off, from Lynemouth to Coquet. Between 5 of us we got no cod. I won with 6 coalies,3 mackeral nd a wrasse. my mate had a pollock about 3lb. Very poor day.

Nice one for getting out though mate...them swells were quite big though eh?

At least you tried mate, you remember the good ones. I have never had much luck fishing in big lazy swells, it's as if the end gear does'nt do what it is supposed to do
