South Shields Pier 15-16th March 2012

Fished the pier last night 9pm until 2.30am. A pleasant evening with a slight breeze, a small swell on and the foghorns hooting in stereo Started off half way between the blocks and the end. After a couple of hours moved down to the blocks for a bit then fished off the round end for the last hour. Big fat blank. First one in ages. Not even a knock. Funnily enough the last time I blanked was also the last time I came on the pier back in October hmm note taken. Baits used rag, razor, squid, mackeral and prawn.

I got bored and took some photos ....

There were about four lads fishing in front of the first gate when I arrived and only me and two other lads on the end for the rest of the pier. One of the lads on the end said he had a couple of whiting.

Great photos mate. Makes a blank less painfull on a nice night.
