What's south shields pier likely to be like in the morning, thinking about heading there for about 6ish for a bit of lure fishing. Is it likely to be shoulder to shoulder with people chucking feathers by then or should I be ok? (not that there is anything wrong with chucking feathers - might even try some myself!) Thinking about taking a couple of light rods, (5 to 20 and a 10 to 30) and having a bit play with light lures and isomes - but don't fancy it if it is going to be rammed.

Not many tinsel tossers on there today mate, looks like the bad weather forecast put them off, I would imagine it will be the same tomorrow. The sea was a bit rough for spinning today. The swells are forecast to be bigger tomorrow and the wind is going to get up. Good luck if you head up there.

Bugger, looked the other day at the forecast and it looked good for spinning, now it reckons 20mph to 30mph gusts! bah - doesnt look good for spinning to be honest! I wouldnt care its my first free weekend in about 5 weeks! Might wait and nip out one night next week instead.

Decided to grab a couple of bottles of wine and stick a movie with the wife instead. light lures in a 30mph gust isnt going to be much fun. Hopefully the wind will be better during the week.

The weather has put a damper on my weekend too mate. Conditions spot on when you're at work and then horrible at the weekend, that's fishing I'm afraid.
