South Shields Pier Today

Went fishing with my mate jim ( stickler ) today, got to the pier about 2pm low water, fished near the blocks and was rewarded with these little beauties, 1 cod 4lb and 1 pollack 3lb and 2cod 2lb, what a very nice day we had and stickler caught a pollack 2 and a half pounds.

Frozen crab was the bait, all fish taken on crab.

nice one ,will try in the near future ,i know theres been some decent fish lately same place ,but maybe too many peeps in the same place after only so many fish

i was a kanny day keith i endeed up walking off with 4. biggest bowt 4lb.

Keith, Now they know where mark X is lol . anyway got 2 puddlers to the golf ball method and 1 pollack on float fished ragworm, the craic was excellent and the rain stayed off. fish returned.

Was that you lot from the W.H.C with the blue tops on? I was just messing about with spinners/redgills on the end (Bright red coat)

Seen a few nice fish lifted in around the blocks area. I had a few chucks with bait off the end but could not get past the coalie (1lb 1/2 ish)

Nice day once that wind dropped off anyway, ended up with loads of coalie,snadeel and mackerel for very lttle work.

It was a joint venture from the south shields angling club and the cleadon club the banter was terrific and I think I just beat Brashy on the day by a couple of ounces.
