fished ssp today from 10 .15am till 3 pm with my m8 paul just up from the first gate , only one other person fishing the end.
bait for the day lug rag Mackie when we got to the fishing mark the weather was fine some sun and wind the water looked very dirty both the river side and the sea.
around 12 noon I got a very small flattie then my m8 landed a very small coalie at 2.15 pm the guy came along and said he was going to close the pier as the wind had started to pick up, so we had a few casts at the other side of the gate.
I was just getting snagged up and lost some gear  my m8 then pulled in a small whittie the sand was starting to blow along the pier as the wind by this time was gusting, time to call it a day head back home.
now going to have a pint and a curry perfect end to the day :red:

well lads the way I look at it was a day out even though it was hard going with the wind still enjoyed the session more so with the banter with my m8.
the water was a brown colour don't know if there has been any dredging going on , but then again with the amount of rain there must be loads of flood water coming down the river.
my m8 even had a few cast into the sea side of the pier as he is a good caster and can sent it out a fair way, but nothing was even going for the bait.
have to say the lug & rag from frasers was spot on so we can not blame the bait this time.:D
anyway ended the day with a curry and a pint perfect;)
