fished south shields pier the other night, only got one fish between 3 of us, a nice 3and a half pound cod. took it down the steps and watched it swim away! not a bite all night after that!

cheers, it was prime eating size aswell but i get as much of a buzz returning them as i do catching them these days. it was caught on frozen black lug and rag, right off the end at low water casting straight out to sea from the brass ball on the pier floor.
