Hi this is the first time i have joined in a discussion on NESA me and me mate want to go fishing in the south shields area tonight anyone recomend anywhere in particular there seems to be a decent sea running.

It is the pier or the beaches that might be worth a try - i was thinking about the rail end area on the pier at south shields.

I have just come back into fishing in the last year and a half don\'t catch loads

:D

welcome to nesa shaun, enjoy mate,
you could give the rail end a bash, or straight off the back. I personally havnt been out in 9 weeks mate, so i aint sure what the crack is on the pier at the minute.

Thanks jonny mate - there seems to be a good sea running not sure whether the pier of the beaches at mardsen or whitburn may be worth a shot. I have seen some canny fish of the rail end in a simailr type of sea to today but it was early into the new year.

I have just figured out that i should have set up this thread in a different area and not the reports section - apologies - will get it right next time.

I have found a really web site which my son uses to predict surf size and it covers tynemouth and sunderland. (hes a surfer who like fishing also)

aye shaun, or maybe some of the cliff marks maybe worth a shot, frenchmens bay and the black path normally produce good fish if you have the conditions ;)

could say that for most spots really :D
