Had a day out at shields on Sunday,got to the walkway about 7.45ambloody freezing cold with a covering of ice and snow,fished the first couple of hours of the flood,verylittle action and a lot of weed hitting the line,decided to move to shields pier,got there about half flood and set up at the first gates,first fish codling 2lb 1,next cast codling 3lb11,then a flounder about the 1lb mark which was safely returned also a couple of undersize codling.Moved to the blocks and never had a sniff.Canny little session will post some pics when i figure my phone out.
