Hello guys here's some more river flies including some first attemps at spiders

Woodcock & rusty brown



Teal & yellow


This one I call my grizzly spider


Olive emerger


A mayfly type emergery thingy


Gosling or variant


Right guys I have been told the gosling flys are decent flies on the river so could some one tell me the true dressing of it please

Yeah a watched it mate just wondered if there was a watched davie and a few others all different bar the soft hackle at the front just wondered what the original dressing for it is if any one new

Think Davies pattern is pretty close apart from the fritz.I used to fish the Irish loughs and in the pub of a night,a couple of old guys used to tie these up.Far as I can remember they used olive and gold dubbing for the body and partridge for the front hackle,used to cost a pint of Guinness for 5:D
The only other things they made were Green Peters and Bibios.

The rivers running about 6 inch high and a bit coloured at the minute down the bottom end,should be spot on for thmorra by the way;):)
 
Nice one. We will be fishing Saturday Sunday and maybe Monday is there anywhere at the bottom end of the river you could suggest we try? Must be derwent anglers association waters as that's the club we will be joining, we going to have a day up near derwent res one day and basically open to suggestions for the other 2 days if any one has any please share them with us!

Also if anyone wants to show us the ropes or tag along you's are more than welcome
