Spinning / Plugging for Bass in Or around South Shields??

Just wondering where the best places would be to try spinning for Bass in and around the South Shields area, if theres not many places i dont mind travelling a bit further afield, and whats the best times and tides to have a go? All info and advice would be greatly appriciated thanks!

I know the big beach in shields between the pier and trow rocks throws up a few bass so might be ok spinning off the edge of trow rocks in the summer
