I noticed on my plotter the spoil ground between the Tyne and Wear is highlighted on the map. I seem to recall that this was an area of the North Sea where colliery waste was dumped (plus other stuff I would think!! 
) many years ago when we still had pits. Can anyone remember that far back 
?
My question is has the dumping of the waste created an area which holds any fish? Perhaps by creating artificial reefs?
I like a bit rough ground fishing (ooh, er) but as a newbie don't have any marks as yet.
