fished the walkway 10 till 4 whiting on incoming tide then 3 flatties and codling and granny rockling mostly just taking squid all just small

Your better off fishing with maccy for the whiting down there mate.... had some monster whiting so far this year!

Stick to lugworm and mussel mate and im sure you will get a few codling if your persistant

We went on last night for half an hour in a comp. It was about 8pm. No good with tide pull in river and weed. My mate got a small fish down the side.

hi yeah thats me i got another flatie and a canny big rockling after u left got pics but dont know how to upload, was thinking of trying the peir again now the winds dropped

Sounds a good session mate, well done. I fished for a few hours there today and got only 1 bite in 6 hours that resulted in a PB whiting of 2lb to mussel. I used mussel, mackerel, squid and ragworm, almost went home after the first 2 hours it was that $hit3, no one else pulling nowt in either, well plenty of weed like.

aye the first hour i used one hook pully and was blasting it out, and got no bites so changed two hook flapper was getting 40 yards less cast but got canny whiting first cast that came off as i lifted it out the water, the two hours incoming to high was getting bites every cast but a bugger to hook them the whites took lug squid tipped. flaties took macky strips, codling took squid only with wd 40, and the rockling took 2 mussels i found it best 2hours up 1 hour down then nowt but crabs for 1 hour 30 then it picks up again, little bit weed but wasnt bad, the bloke next to me was using crab and caught nowt

Nice one mate, I was using a 2 hook flapper but I guess no 2 tides are the same. Funny you mention catching using squid as its a bait I have never caught with, I caught a whiting a while back using squid but it was tipped with bluey so no idea what the fish actually went for. Well it went for the cocktail of bluey/squid lol, silly me lol.
