Popped down to ssp, got there about 7:30 and fished the end of the pier until about 2am, weather was better then forecast and met a few decent lads down there.

Apart from that nothing much happened fish wise, tally for the night was one small codling around the 1lb mark, a small dab and a lobster

You didn't stop long after I left then, was a mild night but that fog was horrible. Was poor off the end last night, expected better with that bit movement on the water.

I did a bit better just down from you, had coalies, Dabs and a lovely little Plaice. Moved up to the end for the ebb after you left and didn't get a touch up there, think maybe I should have stayed where I was

Was that you I gave the bluey to? I'd have said hello properly if Id known. We got soaked walking on but it was a canny night. I couldn't get owa how quick the fog was rolling in and out.

Yes mate that was me, thanks for the bluey. Always good to put a face to a name, though I'm usually pretty easy to spot being the "nutter in shorts" as someone on the end described me later on last night

I'll know for next time mate. I've just remembered I didn't have me species hunt card when I landed the plaice. What a sickener.
