Me and goose fished ssp the day at 44, kicked off at around 10:00, first chuck goose gets a dab then me gets coddy

Then another plaice for me, bit better like

And eventually the breakthrough

All fish returned apart from this one which weighed in at 2lb when I got it home.

Bait used was rag which we got from hebburn reelsport this morning, it's still open:D

Very windy but it was ok for chucking. Pretty quiet pier really so a canny sesh.
Macky were getting caught regularly but not in masses.

Cracking fish that. I can't wait till I get a nice big flattie like that.

The bait fishing died off for me this morning when the makki came in.

Last fish doesnt look like a plaice mate

100% Plaice. Klingon headgear and tail shape are the giveaways, as to a lesser extent is the body shape. Orange spots (or lack of) are next to useless as an ID aid (which is why so many mis-identified "Plaice" are caught up the river) - plenty of Flounder have red/orange spots and a fair few Plaice can have few or very faint spots.

Cracking fish Gordon, well done and nice to see the spottys (lol) are still around

Another pic of it, note the old line and daylights tangled up with it, if I didn't have a long leader on I wouldn't have been able to pull free and get it over the wall.:)
