St Abbs

Since me and Phil went to Ibiza last week we haven't been fishing for a whole week! :o To put it right we travelled up to St Abbs for the day.

We set off at 5.45 and arrived around 7.30 and set up at our mark. Bait fishing was slow but we had a few Mackerel on the float, and they were massive Mackerel, the biggest I've ever seen and gave quite a fight on my light spinning rod.

At around 12pm Phils line went slack and he reeled in to this fish and we pulled it up the side after scrambling around on the rocks.

When we got it back to the car it weighed in at 4lb.

After the Codling things were slow, and then the divers turned up  The only fish in the water seemed to be shoals of Sprat.

Bait used was Squid, Mackerel, Crab and Lug.
