St Marys Lighthouse 8th June

Fished the last 3 hours of the ebb today on the left side. Put the big rod out in the kelp with crab and fished rag on the float. Had a few small wrasse on float plus 2 very angry little scorpion fish. Missed a real big pull on the big rod (nearly had the stand over) just before low water then next chuck a good rattle resulted in a slightly larger wrasse. Pleasant enough afternoon and a couple of pics attached. I assume these are Ballan Wrasse ?

Snaggy spot but nice bit of fishing. Only time I got a hook back on the big rod was with a fish on. Strangely I never lost a lead. Used the same one all session.
