Managed to make it out on Saturday, fished about 50 yards away from the steps, frozen runnydown live rag tipped with mussel, nothing till 2 hours after high tide, then 1 about 2.5lb another 1.5lb.
Same place last night same bait blanked, "Its a funny old world"

Davy, it can always change from one tide to another mate. You could go down every night for a month and it would never be the same. Same as you could go down with a mate and he comes away with three or four fish and you get nothing using the same bait Try some different baits as well as the ones you are using as something like that can make a difference.

I quite enjoy fishing from there now (easy access) but it is better on a big northerly as that corner gets a bit of shelter. I've still had fish out when it has been a lot calmer but better with a good roll on.

Had to watch out last night, car park was like a skating rink, even with a four wheel drive it was iffy, didn't fancy parking on the bank top with the boy racers trying to slip up the road.
