went up with me dad today from 2ish till half 4ish fishing the tide up, had lug n makky out in the middle all day not a thing, had a carp rod with a small slither of makky droped literally under the rod tip, had about 12 flatties, small codling, 2 whiting all on the carp rod. middle river produced one good flounder n thats it! lots of blanks all the way along from others fishing. me dad also fished under rod tip with makky n had about 8 flatties and a 2 tiny codling all in about 5ft of water!.

wierd i was expecting a propa whitey sesh, probs early morning or after dark helps was abit too bright today i think that probably put em off. anyhoo was good to get out with me dad. hope everyone had a gud day.

Fished a couple of our local club matches there, and been surprised at how many fish can be caught straight down the side, really boosts your points up (measure & release).

i aways stick my little spinning rod over the side,,had some canny fish that way,,lol,,last time i had about 13 on it,and 2 on me big rod lol,,

i rekon the little fish tend to stay out the way of the main current because when the tide+current started to hit under where the carp rod was bites died off. maybe they moved into the next eddy. anyway was a nice day gunna give it another shot in a few days
