Haven't posted a report up in aggggess, for various reasons tend not to report any catches i get anymore.
anyway i had a few hours fishing tide up at the good old basin before the tide got too much. had 7 within about an hour and half all taken just plopped over the side, all undersize codling and flatties on makky strips, still bit fun until the sea gets up on the weekend and to use up the 1000's of makkys i have in the freezer haha. (anyone want any for next to nout gimme a shout
)
also a guy next to me had a codling of bout pound and a half before i got there.
river seems stuffed with codling all up the tyne at the minute, heard of someone getting one about 4lb along with a few other size just the other week from the same stretch as well.
