wallsend rising sun rod benders 1st trip of the season saw us out of h/pool on the FAMOUS which we all agreed is the best boat weve hired, with a good steam out for 40 mins to the first wreck of the day,a few drifts over it with a few cod taken, then on to few more wrecks for a few more fish, with the wind picking up and a canny lumpy swell we moved to the rough ground where we picked up fish all day the lads trying all different tactics most fish taken were on baited daylights/best bait being squid, only 2 cod taken on shads (tiger) total fish taken 24 cod 2 ling 3 canny coaleys and loads of good sized pouting, (biggest fish of the day 6:5lb cod winning him the sweep £60) good day good boat good skipper HAPPY DAYS next trip misstress 21st april.

nice to see its not just whitby thats getting the fish,by that i mean hopefully they moving up the coast:)

squid has been doing well at whitby.

shame the wind and swells put the kibosh on things:(

aye bt i guess one tends to think in terms of land distance rather than the direct shorter distance one gets at sea.

the jfk often fishes hartlepool or cresswell for example:exclam:

Wherever you were fishing, nice to see some fish comming in, much better than some early reports of a total blank. Pleased you had a good day.
